The sports centre is located in the centre of Saint-Yrieix la perche, close to the town centre and its shops. Saint-Yrieix la Perche is situated in the south of the Haute Vienne department in the middle of the triangle Périgueux – Brive – Limoges. It is served by a railway station, as well as motorways A20 and A89 nearby, and the airport Limoges-Bellegarde is only a forty minute drive away. The town belongs to the Community of Communes of « Le Pays de Saint-Yrieix » which counts about 13,000 inhabitants. It has high-quality facilities, among which a hospital with a capacity of 357 beds, offering multidisciplinary treatments, in close collaboration with the University Hospital Centre of Limoges. The sports centre is equipped with : A wrestling room A room dedicated to table tennis, adapted for disabled athletes, with a surface of 355 m2. A  multipurpose sports hall A dojo of 300m2 A weightlifting and weight room, a fitness area An aquatic complex composed of : Indoor : a large pool of 25 m2 with 4 lanes and an area dedicated to activities with a surface of 375 m2 Outdoor : a fun pool A wellness area with a surface of 235 m2   Accomodation and restaurants around Saint-Yrieix la Perche : Le Domaine de l’Angelaud situated in Coussac Bonneval, 10 minute drive from La Villa Sport. Capacity : 118 beds / 120 seats in the restaurant La Tour Blanche situated in Saint-Yrieix la Perche, 5 minute drive from La Villa Sport. Capacity : 50 beds/ 100 seats in the restaurant

Special features

Located within a green countryside, in a preserved and calm environment, the Villa sport centre is an innovative site meant to gather in one single building an aquatic complex, fitness areas, a modular multipurpose room (capacity of 1,000 people) and specific rooms ( wrestling, table tennis)

The centre is also next to an athlectics field and a conference centre offering meeting areas.

Accomodation and restaurants are found in the close vicinity, less than 10 minute drive from the sports centre.

This uniqueness of the training places offers the athletes an optimal environment  where they will be able to train with total peace of mind, limiting their travelling to a minimum. The diversity of services ( training, reinforcement, recovery) increases the centre’s attactiveness.

As far as table tennis is concerned, the Villa Sport centre hosted many regional and interregional competitions. It was also the place where the French athlete, Jean-François Ducay, decided to train and get ready for the 2012 and 2016 Paralympics, during which he won a gold medal and two silver medals.

The Villa Sport Centre has been used for several years , during the school holidays, by young people for sport training camps. This partnership with the secondary school and the town council  has enabled us to be fully experienced in terms of reception, accommodation and catering of athletes for several weeks
