Description

Set in 25 hectares of natural parkland and part of the Natura 2000 environmental network, the Tarn and Garonne Water Sport Centre is located in Saint Nicolas de la Grave, where the rivers Tarn and Garonne join. The centre is easy to get to, being only 55 minutes from Toulouse Blagnac airport and 15 minutes from the A62 Castelsarrasin motorway exit. Meet the needs of your athletes with direct access to high-quality natural waterways and good layout of facilities, including accommodation, dining room, weight training gym, boat houses, men’s and women’s changing rooms and video room, all within the centre. All the facilities at the centre conform to accessibility requirements for people with disabilities, including the boating area.   With 18 kilometres of continuous navigation, or 36 kilometres out and back, the centre offers an high-level training location. As the stretch of water is varied and open, it provides plenty of options even when boating from the same place. The average width of the water is 150 metres. The watercourse is in a natural, unspoilt setting and only used for sport.

Special features

The weight training gym has been designed specifically with rowing, canoeing and kayaking in mind. It is fitted with the equipment required for general athletic performance, following the standards set out.

Accommodation offers 85 beds – 20 beds are accessible for people with disabilities – ranging from singles to 5-bed shared rooms.
