Description

The Youri-Gagarine Nautical Stadium is a newly built sports complex located in the heart of Villejuif, at the distance of 10 km from Paris-Orly International Airport and just 4.5 km from the capital. It comprises a 50-meter Olympic-standard open heated swimming pool with eight 2.5m wide swim lanes and a plain 2m deep bottom. This Olympic swimming pool is equipped with a competition watershed and state-of-the-art starting blocks located on both sides of the pool. The touch pad is embedded for time precision. Structurally, it consists of three indoor swimming pools (a diving board, a 25-meter pool for advanced swimmers with 6 lap lanes and a pool for beginners). Being easily accessible by public transport (subway, tram) and additionally equipped with a large car parking space, the Nautical Stadium boasts numerous recreational facilities. The athletes will have changing rooms with showers and toilets at their disposal. The enclosure has a fence and an anti-intrusion system to ensure optimal training conditions. Thus, you will be able to organize individual sessions.

Special features

The Youri-Gagarine Nautical Stadium is also equipped with saunas and a hammam, but above all, a large 1800m² open space with a garden and a future street workout station that will allow athletes to warm up. Athletes have also access to a beach volleyball court in the complex outdoor garden. Finally, a large conference hall can be used for screening and mental preparation. Thus, the Youri-Gagarine Nautical Stadium is an ideal place to host the athletes and support them in their physical preparation.
Located directly opposite the Nautical Stadium, the Colette-Besson Sports Hall is a spacious sports complex equipped, among other things, with a 1250m² gym and a 350-seat grandstand, a state-of-the-art gym, and a large conference hall. This state-of-the-art framework will be available to athletes all throughout the competitions. Many hotels located nearby (2 to 4 stars) may host delegations during their stay.
