Description

Located in the north of Limoges, the Saint-Pardoux outdoor sports and tourism resort is built around a 330-hectare lake, the largest in the Haute-Vienne, and a 300-hectare forest, 3 activity sites with sand beaches: Santrop, Chabannes and Fréaudour. A footbridge connects the sites of Chabannes and Santrop. Although swimming is the main attraction onsite during the summer period, the Department wanted to diversify the range of water-related activities (such as sailing, stand up paddle, water skiing and ski-lifts, boat hire, carnivorous fishing, etc.) and develop hiking, horse riding and mountain biking, particularly suited to the discovery of the site's heritage. On the site of Santrop, an aqualudic centre with :

• indoors: a 25-metre swimming pool and a play pool, a wellness area with a hammam ;
• Outdoors: a 300m² leisure pool and water games.

50 km of hiking trails, including the 24-kilometre loop around the lake, ideal for hiking and mountain biking. For running and cycling: a 7-kilometre cycle track conects the 3 sites, and a 20 kilometre route goes around the lake side the via a departmental road. A collective accommodation centre (71 beds) with a dining area and training rooms in Chabannes. A complementary offer of accommodation and services in the surrounding towns (open-air accomodations, holiday cottages and guest houses, shops and services, etc.).
