Description

The ROGER FRANCOIS Gymnasium is located in the Drôme, in Romans-sur-Isère. It is an attractive and welcoming town, located along the Isère and at the foot of the Vercors massif. Marseille train station is served in 45 minutes. Lyon airport is 1 hour by car. - The ROGER FRANCOIS Gymnasium is 5 minutes by car and 15 minutes on foot from the city center.   The site is a place dedicated to indoor sports including:

• 1 specific Volley-Ball room (FFVB approved)
• 1 multi-activity room (1 to 3 courts)
• 1 climbing room
• 1 weight room
• 3 large changing rooms
• 1 meeting room & video
• Wifi internet connection
• 1 living space

  Grandstands at the edge of the FFVB approved hall can accommodate around 450 people. Athletes will have exclusive 24-hour access to the facilities throughout their preparation period. A dedicated contact will be appointed.

Ideally located, the ROGER FRANCOIS Gymnasium is a 5-minute drive from the city center and a 15-minute walk. Hotels and restaurants can be found nearby.

Known for

With 50 years of experience, the local association Volley-Ball Romanais (VBR – www.volley-ball-romans.com) is an association which brings together more than 200 members. It provides various activities such as initiation, training, and of course high level competition.

On the competition side, the women’s team is evolving at the national level but the local association keeps training in mind with a positioning among the best in a large number of young categories at the level of the AURA regional league and the BEACH VOLLEY (vice- champion of France).

Thanks to the quality of the infrastructure and the organization, the local association receives young women every year for advanced training “VOLLEY ELITE CAMP” with sponsors, such as Laurent CHAMBERTIN, Yan FANG, etc.
