Artistic gymnastics

Description

The gym hall at the Robert Wagner sports center offers a latest-generation training exercise floor with springs, a net landing pit and all the equipment to prepare international competitions. Spacious with high glass windows, the room allows gymnasts to train isolated from the outside. The sports center is located just 20 kilometers from Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre. With its direct access to the A86 and the N118, and close to the A13 and the N12, it is easy to reach from the equipment any point in the region Ile-de-France. An extensive public transport network also serves the city: tram, bus, RER… From Robert Wagner tram station, just 100 meters from the gym, you can reach Paris La Défense in just 30 minutes.

The Robert Wagner Sports Center has a gym hall, weight room, swimming pool and track and field. All this equipment are on the same site, easy to access. The tram station Robert Wagner, located at 100 meters offers quick access to public transport to Paris (30 min from Saint-Lazare, Montparnasse, Invalides RER E). The gym hall is located less than one kilometer from a state forest, that covers a third of the commune.
With its local shops and a major mall, the municipality offers numerous catering possibilities.
Thanks to its business park, the second largest in the region Ile-de-France, the municipality has a sizeable hotel offer with 960 rooms and conference rooms.

Known for

The gymnastics room at the Robert Wagner Centre hosted the Algerian National Women’s Team training camp for the preparation of the 2015 and 2016 African Championships. The building houses the “Pôle espoir de gymnastique Ile-de-France”, an organization of the French Gymnastics Federation (FFG). The Gymnastics Club Agrès Vélizy, which is in the Top 12, trains year round in there.
Since 2017, the center has hosted the national 2 and ultra-marine volleyball finals.
