Description
The Robert Poirier departmental stadium is located on the University of Rennes 2 campus, 20 minutes from the railway station by metro, and 15 minutes from city center of Rennes. This indoor athletics stadium inaugurated in June 2015 has a 250m outdoor track nearby. The 3,800 m² sports hall has all the necessary equipment for training under the best possible conditions: 200 m ring with 6 lanes, 2 High Jump pits, 6 straight lanes of 60 m, a shot put area, 2 Long Jump pits, 1 pole vault area. In addition, there is a weight room, a multimedia meeting room, conviviality and catering area, 6 changing rooms, an anti-doping room, an infirmary and a reception hall. The entire stadium is accessible to people with reduced mobility as part of Paralympic athletics. It has all the necessary equipment for the physical training of high-level athletes. Special features
The indoor stadium can be used privately as an access on your own is possible with the doors opening controlled by badge.
A team of 5 officers from the Department is on site all the time to welcome and guide the athletes, and ensure the upkeep and maintenance of equipment.
Upstairs, the meeting room and conviviality areas can be re-shaped to create a space dedicated to training or recovery.
