The Raymond-Sommet swimming pool has a 50-metre Olympic pool and a diving pool. Open 7 days a week, a permanent team of technicians is at your disposal to meet all your needs. The staff are trained in first aid and specific hygiene standards to combat the spread of viruses and bacteria. Thanks to the recent refurbishments and improvements made to the facilities, the site is adapted to needs of people with disabilities. The swimming pool is fully accessible to people with disabilities, and fitted with specific chairs to enable people with motor disabilities to get into the water. The staff have been trained to enable them to properly receive disabled sportsmen and women and they have specific equipment to facilitate communication with people with hearing impairments. Finally, the Raymond-Sommet swimming pool is located 10 minutes from the Saint-Etienne University Hospital, where specialists in sports traumatology - who are informed about the presence of high-level sportsmen/women in the area - can respond quickly to provide high-quality medical care for athletes.
