Description

Inaugurated in 2009, this magnificent wooden building welcomes or has welcomed great names in canoeing and kayaking such as Arnaud Hybois, Léa Jamelot, Cédric Joly and Camille Prigent. It offers quality services: a weight room, a treatment room, a clothing and drying room, a meeting room. It is entirely accessible for disabled people and has a partnership with a rehabilitation centre (Pôle St helier). The Pôle France is located in the town of Cesson-Sévigné, near Rennes, the capital of Brittany. This region is very rich culturally and historically. Here you can discover varied landscapes (sea, historic towns, forests), a renowned gastromy and friendly people. Access is very simple : - By plane : Rennes airport (55 mins from Paris) - By train: Rennes station (1 hour 30 mins from Paris), then Cesson station (5mins from Rennes) - By Car/Bus: 3 hours 30 mins from Paris, 1 hour from Nantes, 45 mins from Mont St-Michel and Saint-Malo. Near the sports hall, there is a wide range of hotels, restaurants and numerous sports facilities. These include a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna, a cryotherapy centre, as well as a golf course and several running circuits in the parks. Cesson-Sévigné has a unique and welcoming environment which combines urban and green landscapes. Visitors can enjoy the town centre which remains on a human scale, as well as the calm environment , walks along the Vilaine river, and the parks. Our sports department teams are always available, which reflects our strong municipal sports policy. Cesson-Sévigné boasts a large number of high-quality sports facilities and regularly hosts major events. In particular, the French Canoeing and Kayaking Clubs’ Slalom Championships were held here in 2015, it was also the training base for the Women's Football World Cup in 2019 and was voted the most sporting town in France in 2011 by the newspaper l'Equipe. Everything is in place to welcome you in the best conditions.
