Swimming Para swimming
The Parvis swimming pool owned and operated by the Cergy-Pontoise Metropolitan Community (Communauté d’agglomération) has a heated outdoor pool, the “bassin nordique”. The Centre is centrally located within the greater Cergy area, a 30-minute drive from Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport and Paris, and is close to the Cergy-Préfecture RER station and the interurban bus network. A 50-meter pool, heated all year round, with 8 swimming lanes, and 1 m 30 to 1 m 80 end-to-end depth range, track start blocks, a stainless steel tank and rollup thermal pool cover. The pool has been designed and built to deliver energy performance and environmental compliance. In addition to the outdoor pool, the Parvis facility has three indoor pools, including a 6-lane competition-standard 25 m x 15 m pool with end-to-end depth range of 1.80 m to 3.40 m, and “track start” blocks. Other facilities include a gym ideal for muscle development and two meeting rooms. The facility has an optical fibre connection.

Four swimming lanes are fitted with the “Virtual Trainer” system.
The Centre is located within 15 minutes on foot from the other Cergy-Pontoise Olympic preparation site: the Maradas-Joël Motyl Sports Complex with two gyms, weight training gym, weightlifting gym, and indoor and outdoor running tracks…
Every year, the Parvis 25-m indoor pool hosts several swimming meetings, including the regional meeting organised by the resident club, Cergy-Pontoise Natation. Its two lead swimmers, members of the French national team are Thibaut Capitaine and Solène Sache.
