Description

At Fontainebleau bordering the forest, the ‘stade Philippe Mahut’ offers ideal conditions to prepare for major sporting events with a 23ha surface comprising equipment for high-level athletes.   Well-lit, enclosed stadium with sound system, ready to host Athletics, Archery and Modern Pentathlon training.   Athletics equipment (renovated 2016):

  • 400m track with 8 lanes,
  • 2 lanes for high jump and pole vault,
  • Shot put, discus and hammer pit,
  • 12 changing rooms with showers & WC,
  • 700 person capacity grandstand.
  Archery equipment composition:
  • 90m, 70m, 50m, 30m, 15m & 10m shooting range,
  • 70 targets,
  • Gymnasium with archery room.
  Adapted equipment for Modern Pentathlon. Special features

The sporting infrastructures are at the same enclosed location with direct access to parking, gym, swimming pool, fitness centre and sauna as well as an associations centre equipped with a 170m2 meeting room. The sporting infrastructures are accessible to persons with reduced mobility for paralympic use.

 

The sports centre is 5 minutes away on foot with a renovated Hospital, the Fontainebleau city-centre, transport, heritage (Castle, UNESCO World Heritage Site) commercial activity and leisure sites nearby.

 

The exceptional natural environment (forest, rock valley, Seine river, rural spaces) heritage (hub of impressionism with Barbizon and 5 villages of character) make it a global cultural and sporting destination.

The club has trained middle and long distance runners who have taken part in the Olympic Games, World Cmapionships and European Championships. Athletes also train at the CNSD, 5km away.

The handisport section participates in international competitions in different categories.

The club works alongside its partner, the CNSD in the reconstruction through sport of wounded military personnel.
