Description

Pau gave the French canoeist the installation he was missing. It was set up in a neighbourhood undergoing major renovation near the town centre. This Parc Aquasports de l'Agglomération Pau Béarn Pyrénées welcomes all ages, from eight years old. Inaugurated in 2009 with a World Cup round, it is recognised as one of the most successful. It is unanimously acclaimed for its natural setting on the edge of the Gave de Pau, its aesthetics, the general vision it offers to the public and the technical difficulties it offers. With its 300 metres long and flows of up to 15 m3 per second, this pool offers optimal conditions for preparing top-level athletes. It offers a 3,700 m² start pool and a 1,500 m² finish area facing a circular esplanade with 574 seats. Overall, the area can accommodate 4,000 people (1,430 seated and 2,570 standing). The capacity of the pool is 160 people, i.e. 20 rafts. For more information, the website of the City of Pau is at your disposal: https://www.pau.fr/ @Pau Béarn Pyrénées
