Description

The Paron sports complex is located in the town of Fougères at 40 minutes from Rennes/St Jacques airport and 40 minutes from Rennes TGV station (1h30 from Paris). The city of Fougères is one of the 12 French cities labeled Active and Sports City 4 laurels, the highest possible distinction, by the Ministry of Sports, thanks to the quality and density of these equipment and thanks to its know-how in international sports hosting (hosting the Tour de France five times since 2013). This complex, arranged in the greenery, close to the countryside and the forest, covers an area of 13 hectares. It includes several high-quality equipment: - 4 grass football fields - 1 synthetic football field - 1 grass rugby field - 1 synthetic rugby area - 1 athletics track of 400m in tartan - 1 type C omnisport hall - 1 tennis hall - 3 outdoor tennis courts - 1 aquatic complex - 1 velodrome - 1 weight room - 1 archery area - 1 golf driving range This site was selected by FIFA in 2019 as a training site for the Women's World Cup. It has hosted the national teams of Chile, China, Scotland and Sweden. It was also selected as one of 60 pre-selected training sites for the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.
