Only 12 kms far from Paris and 10 kms from the Paris-Orly airport, the geographical location of Créteil and its public transport facilities offer to the delegations a fast access to the capital by the Metro or the regional express network as well as to the air network. The city of Créteil, labeled in 2018 « active and sporting city », has made sports a reference and an identity which radiate much beyond the Ile-de-France. Créteil shows its passion for sports by hosting more than 50 disciplines of excellence supported by an important network of sports facilities. The city keeps promoting sports for every one as well as for high performance. The other asset of Créteil is undoubtedly its leisure centre which is an area of relaxation and nature where the international delegation athletes will have the opportunity to recover between two training sessions. The Palais des sports consists of 2 sport rooms : - The « halle des sports » (sports hall), with a surface area of 1,400 square meters, daily hosts the practises of the US Créteil handball team as well as the first national professional division matches. This equipment also offers an accommodation capacity of a maximum of  2,700 people. - With a surface area of 840 square meters, the adjoining room allows the practice of both collective and individual sports. Everything thus comes together to host the delegations who will find in the Eyquem centre the ideal conditions to prepare the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The « Palais des sports » has a fitness room, an infirmary and meeting rooms.

The centre is located 15 minutes away from the Henri Mondor hospital which has 1,300 beds and covers most of the medical and surgical disciplines.

Concerning accommodation and catering, the city of Créteil is a major asset for the delegations wishing to select the « Palais des sports » as their training place. The city actually has many hotels, the nearest of which is located 10 minutes away from the « Palais des sports ». The interregional shopping centre Créteil Soleil, located right in town, has almost 50 restaurants.

The « Palais des sports » has hosted many events : the Greco-Roman wrestling world championships, several European campaigns of the handball team, matches of the French handball team, as well as the trampoline French cup and the handball 4 nations tournament  for U21.
