Description

The J.CHIRAC sports facility is an innovative complex that opened at the end of  2019. Fully accessible to all members of the public and compliant with current environmental standards, it offers all the necessary elements to promote and develop sport : top-of-the-line equipment spread over 4 sites (Gymnastics, Weightlifting & Fitness training,  Combat Sports and Team Sports), 2 meeting rooms and a function room measuring 200m². All premises and spaces are connected and equipped with sound systems. The J.CHIRAC sports facility is located in the center of a 6 hectare sports complex comprising on its grounds, the Georges POMPIDOU Stadium, the House of Martial Arts, the Multisports Hall and the INGREO Swimming Pool complex.

Special features

A short walk from the city center, the site provides all the necessary features required for training and competitive performance.

In addition to participating in their sporting activity, athletes can use the gym, the weightroom, the cardio-training equipment, and the covered athletics track.

To wind down, relax and recuperate, the INGRE0 Swimming Pools are just a 5 minute walk from the sports center.

Known for

The J.CHIRAC sports facility has already hosted several regional and national competitions. The French UNSS women’s handball championship was played at the center in 2018 and in 2019 the French UNSS volleyball championship took place here. The INGREO Swimming Pools hosted the French junior Championship in 2015 as well as several Interclub and Inter-regional competitions. In June 2015 a gala presentation of synchronised swimming took place in the presence of the mixed team, Benoit Beaufis and Virginie Dedieu who went on to compete in the world championship in Kazan.
