Description

Located in an 11ha estate at Saint-Pierre d’Oléron in the center of the island, the Oumière Sports Complex is verry efficient; construction was to an HEQ standard (High Environmental Quality) and it is accessible to athletes with disabilities.  The site is guarded and has surveillance cameras.  The sports complex enables teams to train in the best conditions possible, thanks to the indisputable quality of the facilities and its extreme user-friendliness.

Special features

One site for around 20 sports activities; numerous  areas for betterment and additional practices.

Known for

Setting for the 2014 European military football championships.

French, German and Tunisian handball teams (under 21s, under 17s) welcomed in 2014, 2016 and 2018.

Preseason training for Stade Rochelais rugby professionals in 2018.  The French Taekwondo team undertook preparation here in 2018.

Home since 2007 to CDOS holidays and “Fort Boyard” national youth judo tournament.

The main club in residence at the multisports hall, “Oléron handball” is at the prenational stage of development and participates in competitions at regional level; badminton is played at “départemental” level.
