Description

The Paul Guerre sports complex is located in Billy-Montigny, a urban community part of the former mining region of the Pas-de-Calais. It benefits from railway and road services allowing to easily reach the big cities of the area. The complex, at the heart of a closed area, is entirely fenced and secured by guards. All of its sporting equipments offer the intimacy required for the athletes to focus properly. In the center of this complex is the Otello Troni room, which is accredited national level 1. It is a 2500m² multisports room adapted for basketball, volleyball and especially handball practise. The latter is being actively practised by the Carabiniers Club of Billy-Montgny (involved in national 2). The recent renovations highlight a desire to take care of the health and well-being of the athletes. It is equipped with 4 changing rooms with showers, an anti-doping space, an infirmary and a club house. The complex is heated and has LED lightning.The high quality 1056m² wooden floor comes fromthe Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille. The athletes who walk this floor do so on the prints of the French and Swedish teams competing for the handball world cup of 2017! The grandstands can sit 611 passionate visitors for regular national level competitions.

The Paul Guerre Stadium is located in a sports complex of over 5000m² which favours the development of various activities. It benefits from close quality infrastructures and equipment, suitable for an efficient physical training. Among these facilities provided by the city are a weights room, a brand-new athletics track (accredited at department level), as well as two football fields. Next to this complex is a swimming pool equipped with a 25-metres pool which can welcome athletes for Olympic training and relaxation.
