Description

This sports center is located in a seaside resort on the Atltantic coast, in the Southern region of Landes, and features top-tier facilities to train in the best conditions. It is located in a forested and quiet area. The facilities feature two regulation rugby and soccer fields, a training pitch and a 6-lane wide 110 m synthetic tartan running track. In addition, it features a 600 m2 partially covered public skate park, a fronton court for Basque pelota,  an interior single-wall court for pelota, and a gym.  It is also the location of the regional acrobatics training center. The center is close to the town center, close to the seaport and beaches and nautic sports spots including surfing. The town is 30 minutes from Biarritz airport, within two hours flight of major European cities. Special features

Capbreton is a seaside town, the only harbor on the Southern Landes coast with a fihing port and a marina. It offers a wide range of accomodation, including a 3 star hotel and lodges.

The resort has a range of restaurants, including traditional French cooking, seafood, etc.

The sports facilities are hosted together in a single center, the “complexe sportif”. The town is also home to the European Sports Rehabiliitation Center (CERS), which offers specialized sports recovery (cryotherapy).

The Hossegor golf course is a few minutes away.

A large number of surf schools are open year-round.

The seaport is a fishing port with a fish market, which also offers offshore fishing trips.

A large numbe of cultural events are hosted in town during the summer season.

Off season the town offers  peaceful and very livable surroundings.

Known for

Professional sports team, both national and international, choose Capbreton to train. To name a few : Olympique de Marseille, Paris Saint Germain, the Irish Rugby Football Union, the French ski team, and both men’s and women’s France handball teams.
