Description

The watersports center lies between Cap d'Antibes and the city center. Ideally located, it boasts a breathtaking, world-famous view of the sea and the entire coast between Antibes and Nice. The nautical base has a large parking lot for trailer vehicles and a lot of parking spots along the road by the sea. In addition to its idyllic setting, the facility is very functional, and is home to many boats throughout the year. The sailing school, also located here, allows many sailboats to practice in a one-of-a-kind setting. The nautical base is located between the beaches of Ponteil and Salis. It is the most beautiful nautical base in France. Its surface area exceeds 3,000 sq. meters, in an outstanding location. You can come, practice, and enjoy this unique base with your feet in the water, in the real conditions of Olympic events, as this center is only a 2-hour drive away from the site which was chosen for the sailing events of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Inaugurated in 2019, the nautical base is home to the premises of the Société des Régates d'Antibes, the largest French sailing club, whose offices are located on the North Quay of Port Vauban. The complex features a large meeting room, changing rooms, and modern sanitary facilities. You can enjoy the large terrace overlooking the sea. The entire center is compliant with the persons with reduced mobility (PRM) technical specifications.

In the immediate vicinity, Port Vauban is the largest marina in Europe in terms of tonnage.

The center extends over a surface area of ​​water of 25 hectares. It includes a total docking length of 4,200 linear meters and has 1,650 berths.

It accommodates all kinds of boats, from 4-meter double-ender boats to ships of over 165 meters, and attracts an economy around yachting and related services: professional fishing, shipyards (refit and repairs), nautical clubs, and “crew agencies”.

Known for

The center hosts 200 regattas per year.

Champions such as Nicolas Charbonnier and Sofian Bouvet have been trained here, as well as the Delerce-Rossi team, the 2019 U17 Junior 420 champions, who train in Antibes every day.

It also hosts the Voiles d’Antibes sailing event every year.

The center will host the International Spring Cup in 2021 (postponed with the 2020 covid).
