The town can boast a range of undoubted assets that will contribute to the success of the Paris games : a young and dynamic town, on the map in sports, environmentally vigilant, the town is also at the heart of an ongoing and forward-looking economic dynamic, thanks to the presence on the territory of Nanterre of La Défense, the business pole of the Paris metropolis. Nanterre is also the location of one of the major universities of the Paris metropolitan region. Université Paris-Nanterre is a pluridisciplinary campus, centred notably on economics and law, on the human and social sciences. From its creation, the university has fostered a culture of on-campus sporting activities, along with the educational provisions for elite sportswomen and men, research and training in the area of sport and health. The intention of the University is, in assocation with the Town of Nanterre, to ensure both the inclusive dimension and quality of our joint candidacy.
