Description

The Halle des Sports de Monconseil is a Category 2, X-type* public venue with a 1,313-person capacity. This arena is entirely dedicated to basketball and includes: - a 28x15m basketball court - shock-absorbent flooring - ceiling height: 9m - 1 fixed tiered seating area - 2 mobile tiered seating areas (1 north side, 1 south side) - 2 regulatory digital sports scoreboards - doping control room - medical room - possibility of fitting out a massage and sports recovery room - 4 locker-rooms for the whole site and 2 referee locker-rooms This facility has gained H3 Pro B level accreditation from the French Basketball Federation.   Monconseil arena is located in North Tours:

  • Tours Val de Loire Airport is 2.9km away (6 minutes)
  • Tours train station is 4.3km away (with TGV shuttle for Saint Pierre des Corps train station)
  • Tramway, line A on-site, "Monconseil" stop
  In terms of catering, there are four options on-site or nearby:
  • Espace Dewitt Menyard, services can be organised with a caterer,

The facility is located near the city centre, an advantage for delegations.

The Halle des Sports de Monconseil is a High Environmental Quality (HQE) venue built in 2011 and termed a key amenity within Monconseil eco-district, not far from the airport and an array of services.

 

Sports-wise, the arena is equipped with Keemotion video capture technology to broadcast matches and training sessions live and enable staff to analyse the varied game footage.

 

The site is under security alarm surveillance, video protection and connected to high-speed broadband.

Known for

This site hosts a wide range of competitions across a variety of sports including boxing, volleyball, judo and gymnastics. With respect to basketball, the arena is mainly dedicated today to training sessions and championship matches of the French Basketball Federation’s Nationale 2 and the LNB Pro B.

Worth highlighting: the Pre-open of the French women’s basketball league (LFB) was staged here in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
