The Maxime Bossis sports complex is an emblematic piece of equipment of Montaigu-Vendée, a city that vibrates to the rhythm of sport, and which has been hosting high-level football for more than 50 years through an internationally recognized event: « Le Mondial Football Montaigu ». More than 60 national delegations from all continents walked the grass pitch of the Maxime Bossis stadium, benefiting from high-performance sports facilities and optimal reception conditions. Equipped with 3 certified and lighted football fields, the complex is also equipped since 2019 with a 400m lighted track allowing the practice of all athletic events. Only 1 hour from the ocean and 30 minutes from Nantes (where the Olympic football tournament will be held), Montaigu-Vendée is renowned for its quality of life, with its remarkable natural heritage and cultural vitality.

The Maxime Bossis sports complex is a reference equipment for the organization of high-level events. Since 1973, this is where the prestigious « Mondial Football » takes place. It has seen many prodigies become international football stars (C. Ronaldo, K. Mbappé, P. Pogba, K. Benzema…). 65 national teams (Brazil, Argentina, England, Germany, Cameroon, Japan, etc.) and more than 80 professional clubs (Paris, Lyon, Ajax Amsterdam, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Manchester United, etc.) have participated in the tournament since its establishement.
