Description

The IMS (Martinican Sport Institute) is a formation institute for professions linked with sports, physical preparation, mental preparation and health. It has equipments for the formation follow-up (1 connected formation room, 1 amphitheatre, 1 private working area). Sports equipment: 1 covered multisports hall, 1 uncovered sport complex, 1 track, 1 dojo, 1 crossfit area, 1 fitness circuit, 1 wieghts room, 1 food building. The IMS is located in the city of LAMENTIN, in the center of Martinique, 10 minuutes form the international airport AIME CESAIRE. It’s located in a green geographical area not too far from Mangot Vulcin Hospital Complex. Very accessible by car or by public transport, the IMS benefits from proximity with local stores, pharmacies, sport stores, banks… Pierre Samot communitary swimming pool is located in the center of Lamentin city at around 10 minutes by car from Martinique’s International Airport. It is equipped with 1/ 50 meters olympic swimming pool, 1/ 25 meters training swimming pool, 1/ learning swimming pool and 1/ diving pit. It is also equipped with grandstands, 1 weight room available for the athletes and 1 restaurant. The communitary pool is located in a very active economic area around which gravitates: shops, sport shops, banks, pharmacies, a hospital and public transportation means.

Special features

The IMS is located at around 300 meters form LAMENTIN’s city Hospital complex the later benifiting from a rehabilitative medicine service. The IMS has a weight and physical therapy room and an outdoor crossfit area available for the athletes’ physical preparation. A building dedicated to food services allows the atletes and (PMR) to have lunch on site and to profit from several indoors and outdoors resting areas.

Moreover, the IMS is located 10 minutes from Lamentin’s city community Swimming Pool which is also listed as CPJ, this represents a considerable advantage for athletes wanting to do recovery sessions and enjoy the tropical climate.

The IMS provides abled and disabled athletes with a transportation service.
