Description

The Royan Horse Club is located between Saint-Palais-sur-Mer and Royan. The racetrack of Royan is the training location of 6 of the best French racehorse trainers, including F. Nicolle (No. 1), G. Macaire (No. 2), A. Chaillé-Chaillé, T. Fourcy (No. 1 in Arabian horses)...   In order to enhance your stay, sports activities are available nearby, including a magnificent golf course 500m away.   Site on 15 hectares, between forest and ocean, away from the eyes, providing privacy. A sandy beach 10 minutes away on horseback through the forest, much appreciated by riders.   Infrastructure compatible with high-level training:

• 1 premium outdoor arena of 9000 sqm.
• 1 outdoor arena of 60 x 20 which will be enlarged to 60 x 30 and covered.
• 1 outdoor arena of 70 x 40.
• 1 covered arena of 25 x 65.

Special features

In order to host an Olympic team in the best possible conditions, an outdoor arena is being expanded, covered and will be privatised for the riders.

The premium outdoor arena will be privatised for the training sessions.

Obstacles available in quantity and diversity.

1 independent stable of 20 stalls (4 x 4), with secure access, saddlery, grooming area, food storage and mulching dedicated to the Olympic delegation. On-site accommodation for grooms.

The catering room, with a panoramic view of the arena, will allow you to eat in the best conditions, while following the competitors’ performances.

Parking facilities for home cars.

Tourist office staff (English, Spanish, Portuguese) at your disposal to facilitate your stay.

Each year, 80 days of competitions, including 35 days of FEI circuit stages, including :

• CSI 1*, 2*, 3* (3 weeks in February, 2 weeks in July, 2 weeks in October)
• Amateur Gold Tour Esthederm circuit during each CSI
• Grand Regional Show Jumping Final in November
• Tournée des As (ponies) in 2023

The members of the French team come to train several times a year.

They appreciate the size, shape, technicality, quality of the track, climate and access to the beach.
