Description

Le Nautil is an intercommunal sports facility with an area of 7,000m2, which welcomes nearly 400,000 visitors per year. It is located on a site near a natural and protected area (“L’étang du coq”), home to a large number of bird species: an ideal context for training in peace and serenity. It is also possible to run around the lake thanks to the landscaped course. This natural site is a reference for the triathlon and cross races which are organized each year and which bring together more than 600 participants. The aquatic area is made up of several pools offering the choice between sports training (25m pool on 6 lanes with a depth of up to 3.30m) and a fun offer (wave pool, water games, slide) , as well as bleachers. A large grassed area is also accessible. A 150 m2 aquagym pool and a 50 m2 circular pool complete the services mentioned above. The fitness area includes additional services combining weight training, cardio-training, recovery and relaxation. Weights machines are replaced regularly and cardio-training equipment is at the cutting edge of technology. A cross-training room is also accessible, which offers a practice area of 600 m2. A 345 m2 group lesson room offering a breathtaking view of L’étang du Coq is an integral part of this space, as well as a relaxation / recovery area.

Since its creation in 1996, this space has hosted many events:
• Nautil meeting organized every year in October since 1999 (nearly 450 swimmers)
• Nautil triathlon organized every year in May (nearly 550 participants)
• French interclub championships in 1999
• French “Elite” synchronized swimming championships in March 2002 and 2004
• European Police Championships in 2004/2005
• Synchronized swimming gala since 2000
• French “Elite” Winter Championships in 2017
