Special features

The building is a former covered market with a wooden frame from the nineteenth century
with no intermediary hinging point. Built under the leadership of the ancient Carmes
Chaussés convent, present in Douai from 1635 to 1791, the different buildings have
welcomed first the Army , then a cotton manufacture, breweries and also supplies for
saddlers and finally a major farming industry after 1959. The Carmes church was
demolished at the beginning of the 19th century to become a covered hall used for artillery
and then a horse merry-go-round.It finally became a sportsroom and a gymnasium in the
Wetz street at the end of the 1960s.

Inaugurated on December 15, 2015, the Hall of the Manège came to reward the
dynamics of a training, family and high-level club.
The 16 equipped tracks allow us to organize our weekly training and train our young
people up to the highest international level.
The location in the city center facilitates access to schools that are initiated.
The armory, the workshop, the lingerie allow a safe and easy practice for all.
Each year, our offices and meeting room see numerous training courses being held.
The sauna and the club house maintain the pleasant climate of our circle.
This hall has participated in the hosting of national and regional competitions on
several occasions and makes it a nationally recognized facility.
The modernity of our room, and its historical character, therefore make it an
exceptional multi-purpose venue.
