Description

Porticcio is a seaside resort located in the Gulf of Ajaccio  It is a town with a sporting and cultural background,  which offers an ideal location for all sports and nature enthusiasts. On the Mediterranean coast, Porticcio is a resort open all year round, offering a wide range of activities. The numerous hotels in town offer a high standard of accommodation and will allow athletes to train and stay in the same neighbourhood thereby avoiding lengthy travel and optimising training. Numerous road routes  are easily accessible from Porticcio. Its geographical situation, between sea and scrubland, offers ideal and high-quality training for road cycling, mountain biking and running. In addition, there are plenty of parking spaces for any events or gatherings. Access can be either by sea shuttle or road.

Whilst swimming is the main attraction in the summer however the borough has sought to diversify the range of water-related activities (sailing, stand-up paddle, water skiing, boat hire, etc.) and to develop walking, horse riding and mountain biking.
