Inaugurated in 2013, the Briqueterie (brickyard) facility is entirely dedicated to dance, and was granted the National Centre for Choreographic development (« CDCN ») label by the Ministry of Culture and Communication. Every day, it hosts French and international choreographers and professional dancers. The Briqueterie supports the choreographic production and research, distribution of the works, cultural outreach for populations, dancers ‘training and occupational integration. At the gates of Paris, the Briqueterie is a wide 3500 sq.meters facility within the range of a bus, tram or subway trip, at the junction between Vitry sur Seine and Ivry sur Seine towns on the Paris belt.

An artistic residency, the Briqueterie is hosting every year 60 to 90 professional dance companies. The most coveted events taking place at the facility are The Val de Marne Dance Biennale and « Exentriques »
