Description

The Guidel sports complexes are fully integrated into the natural spaces that make up the Guidelois territory. The facilities dedicated to the practice of sport, in all its forms and for all audiences, are reputed numerous and quality. Recent, modernized and fully certified, they meet local needs and are regularly made available for regional and national sports events. Guidel was one of the first cities of Morbihan to have obtained the LABEL VILLE ACTIVE ET SPORTIVE (since 2019), distinction recently completed by the Labels TERRE DE JEUX 2024 and CENTRE DE PREPARATION AUX J.O. GUIDEL is one of the 25 cities of the "Pays de LORIENT" and has a triple identity: urban, coastal and rural. Tourist town (Town of Surf, Town Fleurie, Ecolabel blue flag) it is also recognized as a seaside resort.

GUIDEL is a city on a human scale and a “NATURA 2000” site that evokes both the sea and the countryside but above all the sweetness of living in contact with a preserved nature.

40% of its area is recognized as “protected territory” and 700 hectares of afforestation are classified.

The coastline consists of 17 kilometres, 5 of which are sandy beaches and coves.

GUIDEL is a very popular “Natural Area” with many water sports and leisure activities (surfing, kitesurfing, paddle boarding, diving, water walking, sailing, hiking, mountain biking, a port…).

Guidel also has 3 campsites, 4 holiday centres, 1 holiday residence, and all the shops and services needed every day.

With its 4 quality sports complexes (and more than 40 sports disciplines on offer) and its brand new “Skate-park” (Class A Bowl) local sportsmen, associations (160) and summer students evolve in ideal conditions

Located 15 minutes from Lorient Airport and 20 minutes from the TGV station, GUIDEL is an attractive and very accessible tourist coastal town.
