Description
The Jean Vincent Gymnasium is a functional and modern sports complex that opened in September 2015. This facility is fully accessible to sportsmen and women and people with disabilities. The 2 changing rooms located on the first floor are served by a lift. It is composed of a 44 m X 24 m multi-sports hall with bleachers with a seating capacity of 251 people, and a 26 m X 20 m specialised table tennis hall. It is located on the east side of Nantes, in the heart of a new Erdre Porterie district, close to the Carrefour shopping centre, with parking facilities for coaches and minibuses in the immediate vicinity of the entrances. Its 6 spacious players’ changing rooms, its high-performance lighting (800 lux in the table tennis room and 500 lux in the multisports room), its large multimedia-equipped user-friendly room with large glass areas overlooking the multisports room, and its cushioned sports floor in linoleum finish, ensure that athletes, trainers and stewards feel comfortable in this warm and light-filled facility.

The Jean Vincent Gymnasium was used as a training site for the Men’s World Handball Championship in January 2017 and the Women’s European Handball Championship in November/December 2018.
