Judo

Description

The Maison des Sports des Iris is devoted to martial arts and combat sports. The structure houses the regional training center of the League, the departmental judo committee as well as the karate, aikido, boxing, full-contact and wrestling clubs. It is also one of the three judo hope poles of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region.  Widely used by schools and associations, a place for national and international level competitions, the Maison des Sports is an emblematic facility in the Metropolis, a center of excellence for regional judo.  Since 2017, the Maison des Sports has been of metropolitan interest.  https://www.lormont.fr/temps-libre/sport-424.html

The Maison des Sports de Lormont represents the first facility in the Region dedicated to combat sports and the arts of movement. It is located near the Buttinière: a multimodal exchange hub between the line A tram, buses, cars with a park and ride and self-service bicycles. 

Known for

French university championships 1st division over 2 days with more than 700 participants 

For 8 consecutive years: hosting the ½ finals of the French cadet / junior / senior championships: more than 700 participants 

National cadet / junior / senior selections with 30 to 40 judoka teams 

National cadet / junior / senior tournaments with an average of 300 to 500 participants depending on the category.
