Description

In the south west of France 30 km from Bordeaux and easily accessible by air, road and rail, the Housteauneuf municipal shooting range is located close to the town centre. Come and shoot in a sports facility suitable for high level competitions and accessible to people with disabilities (club benefits from “Valides Handicapés” labelling for 4 disabilities). It has 3 firing ranges. The 10m one is heated and has 20 stands equipped with the latest model SIUS hybrid electronic targets. The 25m one has 10 covered stands, equipped with 10 latest model SIUS hybrid electronic targets. Finally, 4 covered stands make up the 50 m shooting range, all 4 of which are equipped with the latest model SIUS hybrid electronic targets. All of these firing ranges have Fédération Française de Tir approval (and certification). The shooting range premises also benefit from a reception area, offices, a secure armoury, an approved inflation station and a repairs workshop. The shooting range has outdoor parking for team vehicles. It is totally secure and fitted with an alarm, video surveillance and badge access. Special features

A range of accommodation and dining facilities is available close to the centre. A caterer can also deliver meals to the shooting range.

For general physical preparation, it is possible to run or cycle a loop of several kilometres in a natural setting. A gymnasium located 100 metres from the shooting range is available on request. For recovery, there is an aquatic centre in town with a pool and a health and well-being centre (pools, sauna and hammam).

Known for

In 2008 the club organised the French 10 m club shooting French championships with the help of the Libourne town council. Each year, the Libourne shooting range is an official stage in the national circuit organised by the Fédération française de Tir.

The range regularly receives high level shooters as part of the national training and courses programme.
