Description

The Henri Desbuquois complex is located in Hazebrouck, the capital of Flanders, in the Hauts de France region. The city is in the center of the Northern Department.   This sports complex is dedicated to the practice of high-level handball and hosts all year round the Hazebrouck 71 Handball Club, which plays in National 1 Elite (male) and National 2 (female). It is an ideal playground for preparing athletes for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.   Thanks to its characteristics, the equipment offers optimal training conditions: 44mx22m playground, new LED lighting, parquet playing surface, 5 changing rooms with showers, meeting rooms, weight room, care area, dining/snack area and press room. Outside the complex, an athletic track, grass fields, a synthetic field, a pool with a pool of 25 m allow to complete the physical preparation of the athletes.   The hall is located in the heart of the city, CLOSE to the center and the large square with its shops and all its amenities including the train station, true railway node of the Hauts de France. In a rural area, the Flemish countryside is close to the site and accessible by current. The leisure, sports and relaxation areas including the public garden complete this preparation centre to best meet the expectations of delegations wishing to prepare this Olympiad in optimal conditions.

Hazebrouck offers a pleasant and quiet setting, while having a central and strategic geographical position. Located in the heart of Europe, Hazebrouck is 40 minutes from Lille and the Decathlon Arena – Stade Pierre Mauroy, less than an hour from the beaches of Calais and Dunkerque. Close to major road and rail routes, it also allows you to reach Paris, London and Brussels in 2 hours by train.

Lille Airport is 40 minutes away, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is 2 hours away, as is Brussels or Charleroi Airport.

The reception of delegations will be personalized according to the expectations and needs of each one. Everything will be done to ensure that the players(ses), staff are in the best conditions to prepare for this exceptional event.
