Cycling BMX freestyle Skateboarding

Description

The largest indoor structure dedicated to board sports north of Paris, the Halle de Glisse is a facility with various assets, allowing riders to train in the best conditions. It is principally formed of a 2000 m² skatepark: currently, the modules are being renovated, and will therefore allow the facilities to move upmarket. The skatepark will be dedicated to the practice of freestyle BMX, with a view to improvement and performance. The surface will offer various modules and lines of progressions, as well as a tricks-learning area with foam pit and "resi" modules. The skatepark is also suitable for the practice of SKATEBOARDING with various skateparks designed for street practice which combine different lines and possibilities of modularity of rail height or even step height 3 by 3 in 4 by 3. All modules are equipped with a skatelite traction running surface. Outdoor practice areas to be developed by 2024: the Halle de Glisse will also offer adjacent outdoor grounds with an outdoor street-type skatepark, and a pump track; to offer a full board-sports experience, the facilities are located less than 2.5 kilometres from a bowl (under an elevated metro station)

An excellent geographical location: located two minutes from major highways, accessible by public transport, 6 kilometres from major train stations and 9 kilometres from the airport, the facilities are also conveniently located next to a large shopping and hospitality area (Lillénium), allowing us to welcome athletes in the best conditions.

The Halle de Glisse hosts around 65 events per year, including high-level, European, national and federal events:

• Wild Night Contest (BMX freestyle: 2016, 2017 and 2018 editions)
• A stage of the French skating championship (2017)
• French Roller Derby Championship (2018, 2019)
• Go skateboarding day

Throughout the year, the Halle de Glisse welcomes various sporting events – in the broadest sense – with physical and sports education for the little ones and even urban cultural events (exhibition, graffiti, concerts, etc.).
