This center is located just 1.5 hours from Paris and connected to the big cities of northern France and Europe by an extensive road, rail, air and water transport network. The agglomeration of Saint-Quentin, in the heart of the “Paris-London-Brussels triangle”, is unique and stands a special place among major European cities. There are 2 areas in the Sports Complex. The first room is the table tennis area, with a total area of about 1400 m². The second room is the gymnastics area, with a total area of about 1056 m². The two rooms are equipped with a 500-seat grandstand, sports and referee changing rooms, sports and public sanitary facilities, offices for coaches, a club house, a meeting room, an infirmary and a anti-doping room. Under construction on a 14,300 m2 plot, this Sports Complex has a total built area of 4,500 m2. The construction will be completed by the end of 2022. The Sports Complex is adjacent to the Bertrand Gamess multisport gymnasium and close to the “Salicamp” shopping mall. The gymnastics and table tennis areas are separated. The gymnastics and Table Tennis Center is 5 minutes’ walk from the shopping area and its cafeteria and less than 10 minutes’ drive from hotels and restaurants in the city. It is 5 minutes’ drive from the Hospital Center and the Saint Claude Private Hospital, as well as various medical centers such as SOS Médecins (Experienced doctors in the emergency department with extensive diagnostic and therapeutic resources, which also includes a radiology and a medical biology laboratory).
Facilities and furniture are brand new. Various sports facilities in the City such as the athletics tracks but also swimming pools are nearby and can be available for special needs.
The Saint Quentin gymnastics club has already hosted various galas at the Saint Quentin Sports Palace and can accommodate national delegations within its new facilities.
The table tennis club has already hosted many teams at the Sports Palace since 1983 for international matches: France, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Yugoslavia.
By the increasing level of the teams, the welcoming of national and international teams is a daily challenge. Its first female team has been playing at the PRO A level in the French championship for 11 years and regularly participates in the European championship: European champion in 2020.
Its men team plays at 1 national level and is one of the best teams in the region.
