Description

Situated in the heart of the white Perigord, in Périgueux town, capital of the Dordogne department, the sport complex and its gymnasium « Roland Lagarde »  adjacent to the university « Campus Perigord ». The gymnasium offers a space for training of 800 m² (40m X 20m) with many open spaces. Its multisports plate, is covered with a real wood floor which confers a special charm and a real comfort for training ; It can  welcome the quasi-totality of sporting practices in rooms. Moreover, the gymnasium answers to accessibility standards « Person with Reduced Mobility » and ideally corresponds to sports like Boccia, seated Volleyball and Goalball. The gymnasium can receive 180 people. It offers two blocks  with changing-rooms and toilets near the playing aerea. It makes schoolchildren and students happy (it’s used by 3 school for physical training, the universities, and also by the department sports committees – in particular the departement committee for wheelchair sports for a regular practice of the sitting basketball and different sports activities and sports trainings. During school holidays, this equipment is used by sports committees for advanced trainings.

Special features

The sport complex and its gymnasium « Roland Lagarde » has a climbing artificial structure of 6 meters high – 8 m wide with 6 ways and 2 blocks.

A space dedicate to archery composed of mobile targets with FFTA standards and a protection net.

Moreover, upstairs, an equipped weights room can receive 19 athletes.

Finally, the site benefits from an athletic sports track (a ring of 350 meters) recently renovated, and covered with a thin castin and belting a sports ground (with fields for basketball and handball).

The equipment is located near the hospital center, trades, hotels, restaurants and historical Périgueux town center.

A real tool dedicated for sport training and young hopes preparation, it’s appreciated for its functionnality, its roomy space storage, its brightness with big glass windows and its accessibility (possibility for parking nearby).
