Description

Created in 1941, the CREPS of Reims moved to its current campus in October 1981. Local public training establishment in the fields of sport, youth and popular education, it enjoys a dual supervision today. hui, of the State (Ministry of Sports), and the Grand Est region. Its two priority missions are the support and training of young high-level athletes, by promoting the success of their dual sports and school project and the training of future educators in the sports and animation professions. It should be noted that CREPS is part of the GRAND INSEP network, whose project, led by the National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance (INSEP), aims to create and run a network of infrastructures at the service of sports performance. A place of sporting excellence, the Reims CREPS supports nearly 240 athletes each year (including 140 interns), most of whom are registered in sports structures recognized in the performance projects of sports federations. These sports structures are either part of a federal excellence program (France pole-type structure, France succession pole, national Olympic preparation pole) or accession (Hope pole, regional center or club training center). The establishment's policy aims for sporting and educational success and for learning about citizenship. The athletes received benefit from effective sports and educational support, quality medical monitoring and educational or training facilities adapted to their sports project. All components of sports performance are therefore taken into account to achieve excellence. Beyond hosting sports structures, CREPS is also a resource center for all high-level athletes according to their needs.
