Gabriel-Montpied stadium is ideally located at the gateway to Clermont-Ferrand, with convenient access to motorways, the airport, and public transport links. The stadium is in the thick of a huge infrastructure expansion project due to open gates in 2023 and bring capacity up to 16,200 seats. Right now, the stadium serves as home ground and training facility for Clermont Foot 63.
The infrastructure boasts top-quality equipment and amenities designed for professional athletes and coaches. The stadium is also equipped with ground sockets for rugby/American football posts.
In 2016 and 2017, Gabriel-Montpied stadium played host to the final leg of the Men’s and Women’s World Sevens series.
In 2019, the French women’s national football team (Les Bleues!) played a friendly against Spain here, and other headline international matches have also played out on the Gabriel-Montpied turf, including Marseille vs Benfica in 2014.
