Welcome to Feurs in “Auvergne Rhône Alpes”, the second largest region in France. We would be delighted to greet you in the heart of our town, Feurs, certified "Land of Games 2024", finalist in the competition for the most sporting city, organized by “L’Equipe” magazine in 2003. Located in the tree-filled park of the “Château du Rozier”, a miniature sports arena called the “Forézium André Delorme” and nicknamed "the little Bercy" has contributed to the emergence of the practice of high level sport for our local teams of Handibasketball (N1B) and Basketball (NM1/2) since 1998. In order to maximize our athletes’ sport performance, safety and comfort within the Forézium, two brand-new essential transformations were carried out in 2019 : a GERFLOR wooden floor (Connor Sports certified EN 14904, referenced JEEP ELITE) was installed and offers a very high-quality international-sized play area, as well as the installation of modular led lighting so as to highlight the excellence of our teams' services. Its capacity and accessibility to all audiences - 1,496 seats / 2 central baskets and 4 removable side baskets / 4 changing rooms for players / 2 official changing rooms / one meeting room / one infirmary / offices / one common room – favour togetherness and training quality. This warm sports cocoon encourages the various sports people to enjoy training safely and to perform. Access to Forézium is as close as possible with car parks suitable for all in a quiet, peaceful and studious place.

Special features

Within a radius of about 550 yards around the Forézium, the disposal of sports facilities will enable you to schedule extra sessions along with specific indoor work.

Via secure pedestrian access, you can reach the synthetic running track – 400 m. / 6 lanes – for your physical training sessions. A bodybuilding club will welcome you in order to perform a work of muscle support and strengthening.

Lastly, the “Forez Aquatic Centre” – a 50 m water pool with disabled access standards – with sauna and jacuzzi area, will allow you to create recovery periods in your preparation course planning.

As for logistics – accommodation / catering -, all services are available with the professionals present around here. Much support in your endeavours.

Known for

The “Forez Children’s club” has been organizing their traditional international U15 women basketball tournament at Easter for 37 years. For three days, Spanish, Czech, Belgian, Swiss, Macedonian, Latvian and French delegations come to tread the Forézium floor with a spirit of conquest and friendliness.

When I say to you CSP LIMOGES, NANTERRE 92, PARIS LEVALLOIS, MONACO, ORLEANS, BOULAZAC, LE PORTEL, that JEEP ELITE or INSEP clubs have come to lose or win in NM1 at the Forézium, in FEURS !

The “Handi-Basket Forez club” is also homed in the Forézium. Currently leader of its “Nationale B” championship, in the race for the climb, the Forézium should have hosted the play-offs to reach “Nationale A” level last May.
