Description

The Eugène Maës nautical stadium is an aquatic complex approved by the French Swimming Federation located in the centre of Caen. This modern facility, inaugurated in September 2017, has been completely renovated and is accessible to all sports enthusiasts (including those with reduced mobility). Its 50m outdoor Olympic pool (stainless steel pool and 500-seat stands) and its 25m indoor pool that can be used as a warm-up or cool-down area, its meeting room and its doping control storage areas make this facility a suitable venue for Olympic and Paralympic preparation.

Special features

Sauna, hammam, fitness and weight training are possible within the facility.

The water sports stadium is located in the heart of the city, guaranteeing proximity to many hotels and restaurants.

Its location in the immediate proximity of the Helitas athletic stadium makes it possible to organise all the athletic work outside the pool, while the meadow around the facility, the real green lung of the City, allows the organisation of specific training sessions in the middle of nature.

Known for

The Eugène Maës nautical stadium hosted the 2019 French U23 Swimming Championships, bringing together 450 up-and-coming French swimmers.
