Description
The future artificial whitewater course is a site dedicated to the practice of canoeing and its associated disciplines. This large-scale facility will be inaugurated in 2022. The Epinal slalom basin will be 200 meters long and will be fed by the Moselle with Archimedes screw pumps. It will be equipped with adjustable doors and will be accessible all year round. With an average slope of 1.5%, it was designed and manufactured by the builders of the Paris 2024 Olympic Basin. It corresponds to the current standards of the discipline at the highest national and international level. It is located on the esplanade of the port of Epinal, near the nautical base of the Golbey Epinal Saint-Nabord canoe-kayak club. A warm-up pool, with a 1% slope, is near the site, which allows specific varied preparation. It is located as close as possible to the cycle paths of Epinal. The site is located 2 kilometers from the TGV station, making it accessible to Paris in 2.5 hours. Hotels and lodges are less than 1 km away.
