Description

Mâcon is ideally located in the heart of Europe. The capital of South Burgundy can be found 1 hour 35 minutes away from the Olympic sites of Paris 2024 by high-speed rail and 3 hours 45 minutes by car. The two international airports of Lyon Saint-Exupéry and Geneva allow you to reach this area in just 1 hour by car. Thanks to its activities, culture, historic heritage and its famous poet, Alphonse de Lamartine, Mâcon offers all the advantages of a city in an outstanding natural setting. More recently, Mâcon was the training town for the international footballer Antoine Griezmann. Mâcon is also intrinsically linked to its internationally recognised Mâconnais-Beaujolais wines, which are perfect for social occasions. The Emile Vanier stadium located at the heart of the Champlevert Sports Complex, has three natural grass pitches and two indoor sports facilities. This stadium hosts the French rugby union club called the “Association Sportive Mâconnaise”, which has been promoted to the ”Fédérale 1” first division, thanks to its capacity of 3902 people, including 2247 covered seats. This sports facility, which was completely renovated in 2019, offers an exceptional training environment. Proud of the quality of its facilities, the Emile Vanier rugby stadium has been approved by the France 2023 organising committee of the Rugby World Cup France 2023 to host a resident international team. This complex is close to the city centre and to two train stations connected to the high-speed rail network.   Discover the site as if you were really there: https://www.klapty.com/tour/tyf02IFKNz For more information about Mâcon: https://www.macon.fr/
