Judo

Description

Covering an area of 1 270 hectares, the town of Herblay-sur-Seine is located in the departement of Val d’Oise, 25 km from Paris et 10 km from Cergy-Pontoise. Bordered to the South by the Seine river, the town of Herblay-sur-Seine is crossed from East to West by the A 15 highway, the RD 14 et RD 48 departmental roads and the railway. From North to South the town is crossed by the RD 411 that joins the RD 48. Herblay-sur-Seine is bordered by the Seine and offers plenty of green spaces.   The regional DOJO is located in the geographic heart of the city, in the Bayonnes district, 5 minutes from the A15 highway and 30 minutes from the Olympic Village.   This structure has 5 combat surfaces that meet federal standards and a 200-seat grandstand. The DOJO has 4 changing rooms with showers, sanitary facilities, an infirmary and a weight room without equipments. A conference room with a capacity for 30 people is located upstairs.

Special features

The DOJO is located in a sports complex hosting individual and collective disciplines. Rooms dedicated to different types of activities can be found in two other complexes (a specific weight room, a specific gym, a climbing wall, 2 major and 5 minor basketball courts, 6 volleyball courts and 12 badminton courts).

Outside there is a parking lot with 80 parking spaces.

The “Grands Bains” swimming pool is located within a 5-minutes’ walking distance, with its pools (25m and initiation), a fitness room and its wellness area (jacuzzi / SPA / Hammam).

Hotels such as “Première classe / BandB Hotel” are located near the Preparation Center (ten minutes by transport).

Karate

Arrival of Koji Arimoto, 3rd Dan JKS (Japan Karate Shoto renmei) instructor at the Tokyo honbu dojo. World champion in karate (in WKF team kata in 2012 and JKS individual kata in 2016).

Judo

NORIS Jacques : 8th in various titles from France to Europe

PARISI Angelo : 7th in various titles from France to the Olympics

DEMONTFAUCON Frédéric : 7th in various titles from France to the World Championship – 3rd at the Olympics
