Description

The International nautical stadium, a facility managed by the Grand Paris Seine & Oise urban community, is one of the most famous rowing pools in France. Created in the 1970s, it meets the standards of major competitions with its 6 signposted corridors over a length of 2,500 m. It is located in Mantes-la-Jolie, in the north-west of the Yvelines department (78), about 50 km west of Paris and at the gateway to Normandy. The site is easily accessible in 45 minutes from Paris, by public transport (Transilien Line J and Eole in 2024) as well as by the A13 motorway.

Special features

In addition to its practice pool, the INS also consists of a boat storage space, offices, a specific training room equipped with ergometers, changing rooms and a rowing tank. In the immediate proximity, there is a swimming pool, a hospital, a street work out, a fitness trail as well as football and baseball fields. Finally, the pool benefits from exposure to the wind in the axis and from a regular depth over its entire width, allowing comfortable practice and fairness between each lane.

Known for

Dozens of French championships and international events have been organized there since 1983, as well as the hosting of courses for the French team or foreign delegations.
