Description

Center located in the western part of the metropolis of Bordeaux, 13km from Bordeaux center and 40km from the ocean. This center is also 10 minutes from Mérignac airport. Ideally located in the heart of the city, the center allows you to achieve optimal sports preparation but also to take advantage of local tourist spots. Special features

Located in the heart of a sports complex, other sports equipment can be made available to delegations (athletics track, running course, fitness park, large playground, tennis). The city also has an aquatic area (25m pool, fun pool, sauna, hammam) 10 minutes from the training center. An Ibis hotel is located 2km from the center, quickly accessible by public transport. Catering possibilities all around the center.

Known for

The center is a departmental center which has already hosted internships for the French team. Several athletes who took part in the Olympics prepared in Saint Médard en Jalles (2008 and 2012 for the last). The city is used to welcoming high level athletes for preparations (rugby world cup, weightlifting, beach soccer …) but also for national and international competitions (roller freestyle world cup, Euro cup Australian football , Girondins de Bordeaux match (women), national weightlifting stage).
