Description

Villers-Bretonneux is located on a plateau in the Hauts-de-France region in the Somme department, 20 km from Amiens. Access is facilitated by a motorway rest area (A29) and by the proximity to the Haute Picardie TGV station (20 minutes by car). Charles De Gaulle airport is a 1h15 drive away. Since its liberation by Australia in 1918, the city, twinned with Robinvale, has maintained privileged relations with this country and has developed remembrance tourism. Personalities and delegations are regularly welcomed. The Franco-Australian Museum and the Sir John Monash Interpretation Center are two unmissable places to testify to this past. International Australian rules football matches are held during Australian Week every April. The city has a dynamic associative fabric and varied sports facilities for a city of 4,500 inhabitants which enabled it to obtain the prize list of the “most sporting municipality in Picardy” in its category in 2016. A local attraction, the Bretonville sports complex benefits from a natural and pleasant setting. With a total area of ​​3320 m2, it includes 3 rooms each with 2 toilet blocks with showers and a referee's changing room: the dojo (540 m2), the table tennis room (594 m2) and the basketball room -ball/Tennis (792 m2). The facility is also equipped with an infirmary, a small weight room, offices and meeting rooms upstairs.

Our sports complex has a 32-space car park, large clearances and a pedestrian path allowing easy access to a weight room with sauna (400m) as well as to the city center (shops, town hall, park, media library, village hall, stadium, medical offices, etc. Interior spaces that can be dedicated to physical training: large room of 792 m2 and adaptable to needs. Nearby, an outdoor fitness area and citystade with recent athletics track (2022).
