Known for

Various sporting events are taking place in the Centre, including from 1957 to 2017, the Marrane Challenge, a handball international tournament gathering up to 16 teams and national selections.

Also since 2017 the city preccinct hosts the Vivicittà race, a simultaneously organised in many cities all over the world which advocates for humanistic peace and solidarity values. This race is a sequell of the Humarathon which gathered up to 3500 runners for 30 years, including international level athletes.
