Description

The Cité de l'Escalade is a new complex of 2500 m² dedicated exclusively to the practice of high level climbing in the three disciplines: Bouldering, Lead climbing and Speed. The structures meet the criteria of international walls in the 3 disciplines. The center is managed by Minéral Spirit, a club oriented towards the High Level since 1996, renowned for years, in particular for the organization of numerous Lead’s World Cups from 2003 to 2013. The complex is located in Valence, ideally located 2 hours by train from Paris and offering a wide range of accommodation solutions and additional practices (fitness, bodybuilding, cryotherapy, cycle tourism or hiking). The city of Valence and Minéral Spirit are ready to help you meet all your needs.

Special features

A team of top-flight setters (1 IFSC chief routesetter in lead climbing and bouldering, 3 national setters) is ready to open circuits or routes of international level on request to perfect your preparation.

The complex includes two official speed lanes, with starting and finishing pads, and timers at the top of the route.

The place is recent (opening in 2022), offering modern profiles and a wide range of recent and often renewed holds. There is also a large Gullich board and a large spray wall.

The complex also offers the possibility of eating, relaxing, meeting on site (the complex includes two meeting rooms, a yoga room and a kitchen).

The complex is accessible on request 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. The Olympic teams will be able to benefit from private changing rooms. An infirmary also offers an ideal place for massages.

Known for

Minéral Spirit club regularly organizes high-level competitions, and in particular the 2023 and 2024 French Senior Bouldering Championships.
