A multidisciplinary sports facility, the Philippe Cattiau sports centre is an equipment of importance located in the city of Villeneuve-la-Garenne, close to Paris and the futur Olympic village. It is situated just 25 minutes from the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport, 30 minutes from Paris railway stations, and only an 8 minute-drive from the Olympic village. The sports centre is equipped with a synthetic pitch with lighting (105m x 68m/ 344ft x 223ft), a sports hall (24m x 45m/ 79ft x 148ft) with a 200-seat grandstand, 3 dojos, a weight room of 250 square metres (2,691 square feet), and a multipurpose room of 180 square metres (1,937 square feet). The facility is entirely enclosed and has a parking area that can accomodate buses.
Located in the centre of a sports area, it is right across from the 50-metre (164-foot) municipal swimming pool of Villeneuve-la-Garenne. A 25-metre (82-foot) pool is located outside. The sports centre is also 100 metres (328 feet) from “Les Chanteraines” Departmental Park, a “green lung” of 82 hectares (202 acres) of grassland, woods and fitness trail.
The proximity of a hotel will enable you to prepare in optimum conditions without having to use any means of transport.
The work carried out by local clubs supports the development of sports for the greater number of people, and the emergence of high-level athletes.
Several athletes formed in the clubs have become top-level sportsmen and sportswomen (Kung-fu), win international titles (veteran World Champion in Judo) or dominate their sport like “ACCS Asnières-Villeneuve 92”, futsal French Champion and currently in the Champions League. The latter uses the sports hall for all the categories of the club.
As part of training courses for members of the club, combat sport clubs regularly receive international team trainers (Taïwan) and wrestlers from abroad (Brasil).
