Description

The Department Archery Centre is 21km away from Paris. It was inaugurated in October 2005 with Tom Dielen, then general secretary of the IAF. This is one of the largest archery facilities in France. Its aim is to foster the development of archery from first discovery to all-level archers.

Special features

Its outdoor range is 10000 sq.m with a capacity of 52 olympic shooting lanes in a lush green park. Its stable shooting lines allow access to people with mobility impairment.

The park has a rooftop covered shooting line for 8 archers to train in all weather.

Its 1100 sq. m indoor shooting range has a capacity of 20 competition targets and up to 30m distance.

Four toilets (incl. 2 accessible to people with impaired mobility)

Two change rooms (1 males and 1 females) with a shower each, are available to archers as well as a 50 sq.m meeting room than can be divided in 2, will provide extra comfort to the hosts.

Known for

In 2018 and 2019, the National Mixed teams Trophy Finals took place at the CPJ, hosting 274 archers.

Each year, the CPJ venue hosts various regional and district (department) championships for both olympic and federal shooting, as well as regional division tournaments for adults and youth teams.

It also hosts a selection competition for the National Outdoors handisport « collectif ».
